Today, Americans get a chance to decide who will govern the country for the next four years between current President, Donald Trump and former Vice-President, Joe Biden.
Recall that early voting recorded an unprecedented turnout as about 94 million people cast their votes.
To emerge as the elected president of the US, such contestant must garner at least 270 votes in what’s known as the Electoral College.
Every US state requires a stipulated number of votes, which is partly based on its total population.
According to national polls, Biden is reported to be leading by a narrow margin, according to national polls in many key states. While it is believed that Trump’s route in getting the required 270 votes is slim, any of the two candidates could still win.
The campaign team of Trump is looking forward to a massive turnout in today’s election from his supporters to achieve his reelection bid. On the other hand, Biden is well ahead in sufficient swing states to get the needed 270 electoral votes to become the new occupant of the White House.
Ovacom Media urges all Americans to come out and vote for the candidate of their choice. It is an opportunity to elect a leader who gets to protect the interest of the people.
