Communitywide Charities, on the 28th of May, 2022, held the third awards and orientation session with students of her Institute of Technology; an initiative aimed at improving the quality of lives and empowering youths at the grassroots level in communities across the world. The 12-weeks program will see participants take series of lectures and IT training workshops to boost their knowledge of IT fundamentals.
The orientation session was an opportunity to introduce the trainees to what the program entails. The IT Training Manager for Communitywide Charities, Magnus Ogunseyin, opened the orientation session by welcoming the students and exposing them to how they can harness the benefits and potentials of virtual learning. “Communitywide is assisting individuals from all walks of life to get full advantage of IT skills, with no limitations to learn,” he said.
Furthermore, Olukayode Walter Oluwole, a Board Member and Chief Information Officer Center gave welcoming remarks and explained the pivotal role, Communitywide Charities, plays in enhancing the growth of lives. He also spoke about the newly launched flagship programs of the NGO, the “IT Skill Focus Training Program for Schools and Vocational Charities and the CIT Junior Geeks Training Program.” He further reiterated the commitment of the NGO to light up trainees’ lantern of knowledge so they can positively impact their world.
Finally, awards were presented by a Board member and Executive Director, Agboola Fayese, to the Communitywide Charities trainers and trainees for their impeccable efforts towards the actualization of the NGO’s objectives. Some of the awardees were also inducted into the Communitywide Hall of Fame. The current program is now closed for enrollment, but the CEO of Communitywide Charities, Shola Muyide, calls on interested stakeholders to make donations towards expanding the reach of the Communitywide Charities.
